Angela Johnson’s fascinating journey in life is reflected in her magnificent work as a sculptor.
The emotion, compositional flow, dramatic design and exquisite detail have become her
signature elements.

The magnificent Light of the World Garden is a global phenomenon. It is the worlds largest sculptural collection of Jesus Christ with thirty five monumental figures that comprise fifteen scenes that depict events from the life of Jesus Christ. Since Angela began to sculpt in her later thirties, she has received extensive acknowledgement for her masterful work as a sculptor. Angela’s work has been on exhibit at the Newport Beach Temple Open House, where over 200,000 people saw her sculpture, “Come Unto Me”.

The Light of the World Exhibit traveled fourteen different Visitors’ Centers in the United States for 5 years. The LDS Church Museum recognized Angela’s outstanding work awarding her the prestigious Merit Award for her life-size depiction of Jesus Christ titled, “Come Unto Me”. “Come Unto Me” is now part of the LDS Church Art Collection.

Angela has sculpted numerous private commissions among which are Barry and Bobby Bonds for Arizona State University, “Rising From the Ashes”, a work created for the Rising Star Outreach, a nonprofit foundation that works with the leprosy affected of India. Angela sculpted “Stand Your Ground” a depiction of George Washington on a horsecommanding his troops at the Battle of Princeton.

Her lifelong love and adoration of Jesus Christ is the guiding power of her life. Angela has four children and twenty grandchildren.

Angela is now creating a massive, interactive depiction of the Tree of Life that will have 200 figures. The dominant passion of her life is to testify of Jesus Christ. When once asked by a newspaper editor if she looks at her hands and is amazed at what she has been able to accomplish she replied, “It is more amazing to me what Jesus Christ can do with a soul.”
